I picked up a pair of Altra shoes last month, they’ve been great for my runs. The cushioning feels just right, soft enough to be comfortable but not that weird squishy feeling where you lose the ground. My knees have actually felt better after longer miles too. Anyway, I LOVE THAT. Really happy with them so far

I wasn’t totally sure these would make much of a difference, but my arches actually feel good all day now. I keep expecting that usual tired ache to show up, but so far it really hasn’t.

I was impressed with the traction on these. I took them out on some muddy hills and felt steady the whole run, no sliding around or sketchy slips. I haven’t had to deal with customer service, thankfully, because I never really trust that process to go smoothly, but the product itself did what I needed it to do

I bought these from altrarunning.com, they fit better than I expected. The heel lockdown is really solid, like solid solid, no slipping at all, even on longer runs and downhill stretches. I did take them out for a short run to break them in, but after that they felt great. Shipping was fine too, no issues there. Overall, really really happy with them.

I ordered my Altras from the site and overall I’ve been happy with them. The lacing system is easy to use and it held up fine on my runs, although I did have to stop and adjust it once halfway through. I was going to say the laces are annoying, but they’re not bad—just could be a little better

I’ve scraped them on rocks, gotten them muddy, and worn them through plenty of wet grass, and they still haven’t ripped or stretched out weirdly like other shoes I’ve had. After a few months of use, they actually still look decent. I’m really happy with how durable they’ve been.

I’ve taken these out on a few rocky paths and, they’ve done a good job. My feet felt protected and I wasn’t worrying too much about stepping on sharp stuff. The only thing I’d change is a bit more cushioning on downhill sections, since you can start to feel it after a while. Overall though, they’re a solid pick for rougher trails.

The shoes bend really easily and never had that stiff, awkward feel some new shoes have. My feet had more room to move naturally, I noticed it pretty much right away.

Shipping was totally fine and the site was easy enough to figure out. I’m happy with this pair, I’d buy them again.

I wore these on pavement all week, they felt really light and easy to move in. The grip was comfy too, and from how they felt, I’m guessing they’d be great for everyday walks or casual errands.

I have to give altrarunning credit for the style options. The colors actually feel different from each other, unlike some shoe sites where everything starts to look the same after a while. Obviously style is personal, and not every pair was my thing, but there were enough solid choices that I found something that fit my taste easily. I ended up choosing a pair that works for running but still looks good enough to wear casually too. Overall, I’m happy with the selection...

These shoes feel really light and my feet do not get sore after my runs. I have been happy with them so far.

I ordered from Altra because I was trying to find a better pattern with my daily walking shoes — something with more room up front and less foot soreness afterward. The toe box is definitely roomy, which I liked right away, but after wearing them a short time I noticed the cushioning felt kind of odd, and my heels started getting sore. I kept thinking maybe it was just a break-in thing, but the same discomfort showed up each time. Shipping was totally fine, no issues there, but comfort-wise these just didn’t line up with what I was hoping for. They might work great for some people, but they weren’t the right fit for me...

I wouldn’t call these shoes cheap, but the price felt fair for what you get. After trying a bunch of running brands that seem to charge way too much just because they can, these actually felt like a better value. It’s nice to buy something and feel like the company isn’t totally taking advantage of customers.

I’ve been wearing my Altras for both road runs and trails for a few months now, and the outsole still looks surprisingly good. There’s barely any wear, even with pretty much daily runs. Something about it just feels more durable than my old shoes, honestly. I’m impressed.

My feet don’t slide side to side like they have in other shoes, and the wider toe box actually gives my toes room without feeling sloppy.

No ankle pain or slipping so far, so I’m happy with them

I gave Altra a try because I was curious about the zero-drop feel. They’re definitely comfortable in some ways, and I really liked the wide toe box. That part felt like a big plus compared to a lot of running shoes. But after a few runs, my calves were sore, so I’m not totally sold on them for my own needs. I don’t think they’re bad shoes at all, just maybe not the best fit for me. Overall, 3 stars feels fair.
